Some Introduction of Hall Effect Sensor Magnet

Sensor is the core part of the automatic system of driving, measuring and intelligent control technology. With the development of IoT, the demand for Hall Effect sensor magnet also increased significantly.

What is Hall Effect Principle?

The Hall Effect Principle is named for Edwin Hall after he discovered it on 1879. When place the current-carrying conductor or semiconductor into the magnetic field, a voltage which perpendicular to both electric current and field could be measured at right angles to the current path.

What is Hall Effect Sensor?

The Hall Effect sensor is an energy converter which transforms changing magnetic field into voltage which based on Hall Effect Principle, thus electrical signal will be further processed by specific electric circuit to provide the expected output. As a magnetic field sensor, Hall Effect sensor can be served for proximity sensing, current sensing, position and speed detection.

Classification of Hall Effect Sensor

The Hall Effect sensor can be classified into analogue type and digital type according to output mode. Analogue Hall Effect sensor, also known as linear Hall Effect sensor, is consists of the Hall element, linear amplifier and the emitter follower. Digital Hall Effect sensor, or switch Hall Effect sensor, includes a Hall element, regulator, differential amplifier and the Schmitt trigger. The Hall Effect sensor also can be divided into bipolar type and a unipolar type based on the operation mode.
