On July 12th, the average prices for PrNd Oxide and PrNd mischmetal reported by Asian Metal remained stable at 361,500 yuan per ton and 448,500 yuan per ton, respectively, unchanged from the previous day. However, PrNd prices experienced a decline, with a noticeable drop in market inquiries and weakening oxide prices. Low-priced spot goods emerged in the market, and metal factories showed little proactivity in quoting. There was a clear reluctance to ship at these lower prices, even as large manufacturers continued to ship goods, resulting in reduced downstream receipts and a further decline in PrNd mischmetal prices. Prices for Dy and Tb were also adjusted downward, reflecting a weak restocking sentiment in the market. Metal prices followed the downward trend of oxide prices, and traders adopted a wait-and-see approach. Metal factories were not very proactive in quoting, contributing to a subdued trading atmosphere with rare actual transactions.
