On the oxide side, low-priced spot goods were scarce, manufacturer quotes remained stable, and cost-side support was adequate, leading to stable metal quotes. Metal factories showed little interest in shipping under inverted conditions, and there was a lack of sufficient new orders from downstream magnet manufacturers.
