On July 31st, the average price for PrNd Oxide reported by Asian Metal increased by 1,000 yuan to 364,500 yuan per ton, and the average price for PrNd mischmetal rose by 2,000 yuan to 452,500 yuan per ton from the previous day. The PrNd market trended upwards, with a significant pull in oxide prices leading manufacturers to quote higher prices. Low-priced spot goods became scarce, prompting metal factories to take orders cautiously while traders actively followed the market’s upward movement. This surge in the upstream market shifted the metal market’s center upwards, with manufacturers maintaining firm quotes. However, magnet manufacturers had limited capacity to accept high-priced goods, putting pressure on metal factory shipments. Prices for Dy and Tb also rose, with active inquiries on the oxide side lifting overall quotes and corresponding increases in metal product prices. Despite this, the enthusiasm for inquiries was relatively low, leading to stiff overall transactions.
