On August 1st, the average price for PrNd Oxide reported by Asian Metal increased by 6,000 yuan to 370,500 yuan per ton, while the average price for PrNd mischmetal rose by 5,000 yuan to 457,500 yuan per ton from the previous day. The PrNd market continued its upward trend, with a noticeable rise in oxide prices. Manufacturers showed little interest in low-priced shipments, and metal factories operated under pressure, with an excessive inversion in low-priced metals and weak downstream metal uptake at high prices. Consequently, metal factories held firm in their quotes. New order transactions were few, with close attention paid to the announcement of listed prices of rare earth products, where many merchants anticipated a high probability of flat listing. The Dy and Tb markets fluctuated upward, with strong trends in oxides and corresponding increases in metal quotes, making it difficult to match low prices. Downstream purchasing was primarily on-demand, and the price increases did not fully stimulate the release of downstream orders.
