On August 19th, Asian Metal reported a 2,000 yuan increase in the average price for PrNd Oxide, bringing it to 386,500 yuan per ton. Meanwhile, PrNd mischmetal edged up by 1,000 yuan, reaching 478,500 yuan per ton. This slight rise in prices reflects the ongoing strength in the PrNd market. As the week kicked off, market activity was steady, with oxide prices holding firm at high levels. Metal factories were cautious with their quotes, taking a more reserved approach that led to lower inventories and reduced shipping pressures, which in turn supported stable transaction prices. Factories were less inclined to offer discounts, and with a significant magnet manufacturer reissuing a tender last Friday, the market is closely watching for the upcoming bid prices, hinting at continued price support from demand. Meanwhile, prices for Dy and Tb metals stayed stable, with fewer transactions in the oxide market, leading to a quieter metal market overall.
