On August 20th, Asian Metal reported that PrNd Oxide prices surged by 5,000 yuan, hitting 391,500 yuan per ton, while PrNd mischmetal also jumped by 5,000 yuan, reaching 483,500 yuan per ton. The market for PrNd kept climbing, fueled by upbeat sentiment from the upstream sector and rising mainstream quotes. Finding low-cost inventory became increasingly difficult, as strong cost-side support drove metal prices higher. Magnet manufacturers continued to push the market upward with new tenders, signaling robust demand and driving up procurement prices. Orders from medium and small enterprises remained consistent, with a focus on locking in high-priced orders. Meanwhile, the Dy and Tb markets held steady but showed signs of tightening, with low-cost oxides becoming scarcer and metal prices rising in response. The inquiry atmosphere remained moderate, but high-priced shipments from metal factories still faced challenges.
