On August 23rd, Asian Metal reported that the average prices for PrNd Oxide and PrNd mischmetal remained steady at 391,500 yuan per ton and 483,500 yuan per ton, respectively. As the week drew to a close, the PrNd market saw a slight uptick, with separation plants holding firm on their offers and low-priced stock becoming increasingly scarce. Traders, feeling optimistic, made strategic restocks, which led to a slight rise in transaction prices, supported by solid cost factors. Metal prices experienced a corresponding increase. Downstream magnet manufacturers continued their search for more affordable supplies amid high raw material costs, while metal manufacturers were hesitant to ship at lower prices. The heavy rare earth market remained mostly in a consolidation phase, with Dy and Tb prices staying steady as supply and demand dynamics showed little change, and market sentiment remained stable, with downstream purchases driven by immediate needs.
