On September 5th, Asian Metal quoted the average price of PrNd Oxide at 425,500 yuan per ton, up by 2,000 yuan from the previous working day, while PrNd mischmetal rose by 6,000 yuan, reaching 526,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market kept trending upward, with oxide prices driven by the futures market, hitting highs of 430,000 yuan per ton. Trading companies were the main buyers, while metal manufacturers remained cautious amid high prices. The rise in metal prices encouraged ongoing procurement from major magnet manufacturers, boosting market confidence. However, the rapid price increase caused some instability, with many still observing and focusing only on essential purchases. Meanwhile, the Dy and Tb markets continued climbing, with traders actively buying and tightening low-priced supplies. Separation plants held firm on high prices with limited proactive shipments, and metal manufacturers followed suit. The downstream supply-demand balance remained mostly unchanged.
