On September 9th, Asian Metal reported that the average price of PrNd Oxide climbed by 5,000 yuan to 438,500 yuan per ton, while PrNd mischmetal rose by 2,000 yuan, reaching 536,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market maintained its upward momentum, with the upstream oxide market performing strongly. Merchants remained bullish, pushing mainstream quotes higher, backed by solid cost support. As a result, metal prices saw upward adjustments. Low-priced spot goods were scarce, and high-level shipments faced pressure, leading to stagnant transactions. Attention is focused on the outcome of major factory tenders. Meanwhile, the Dy and Tb markets saw increased inquiry activity, driven by news, which led to a sharp rise in oxide quotations. Traders made strategic purchases while metal manufacturers were cautious with high-level materials, adjusting quotes accordingly. The rapid cost increases and ongoing price inversions kept downstream magnet manufacturers cautious in their purchasing behavior.
