On October 15th, Asian Metal reported that the average price of PrNd Oxide remained at 426,500 yuan per ton, consistent with the previous day’s figures. The price for PrNd mischmetal also held steady at 526,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market was stable, with no changes in oxide prices and a general reluctance to engage in low-price sales, maintaining firm cost support. Transaction activity was moderate, hindered by high costs which limited the availability of low-priced offerings. Magnet manufacturers maintained a cautious stance, preferring to observe market trends rather than commit to new purchases. In the rare earth metals sector, Dy and Tb markets showed signs of weakness; Dy experienced a drop in price due to increased availability of lower-priced offers and sparse inquiries, resulting in some negative trading margins. Conversely, the Tb market remained steady but subdued, with minimal enthusiasm for downstream purchasing.
