On December 5, PrNd Oxide and PrNd mischmetal prices quoted by Asian Metal averaged 412,500 yuan per ton and 508,500 yuan per ton, respectively, remaining unchanged from the previous day. However, the price of PrNd metal continued to decline as the upstream oxide market showed signs of weakness, providing insufficient support for higher pricing. The metal market saw limited inquiry activity, with an increase in low-priced spot sales. Downstream magnet manufacturers maintained a pessimistic outlook, placing mostly small-volume orders to replenish stock at reduced prices, reflecting their cautious approach.
Both the Dy and Tb markets followed a weak trend, with oxide prices softening further amid inadequate cost-side support. Metal prices mirrored the decline, and the market atmosphere was subdued. Manufacturers struggled with low levels of inquiries, facing ongoing challenges in securing shipments.
