On January 6, the average quoted price for PrNd Oxide on Asian Metal increased by 3,000 yuan per ton to 401,500 yuan per ton, while the average quoted price for PrNd mischmetal rose by 4,000 yuan per ton to 492,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market operated on a stronger note, driven by rising oxide prices and a tightening of low-priced supplies. Market activity was moderate, supported by cost-side momentum leading to upward adjustments in metal prices. Downstream magnet manufacturers adopted a just-in-time replenishment strategy, reflecting cautious but steady buying behavior.
The Dy and Tb markets also experienced upward trends, with Tb prices seeing significant gains, primarily influenced by news-driven factors. Tb Oxide prices rose substantially, prompting corresponding increases in metal prices, although high-level transactions continued to face pressure. Meanwhile, Dy prices also shifted higher, with procurement prices increasing as demand strengthened.
