On January 13, the average quoted price for PrNd Oxide on Asian Metal increased by 3,000 yuan per ton to 403,500 yuan per ton, while the average quoted price for PrNd mischmetal rose by 4,000 yuan per ton to 496,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market operated on a stronger note, driven by rising upstream oxide prices, with both quotes and transaction prices moving upward. Cost-side support remained firm, prompting corresponding adjustments in metal prices. Metal manufacturers held firm quotes, though low-priced sales experienced significant price inversions. Downstream procurement continued to focus on just-in-time needs, as the week marked the tail end of replenishment activities. Market activity was expected to remain moderate, with a major downstream manufacturer holding tenders, drawing the attention of market participants awaiting results.
The Dy and Tb markets also exhibited an upward trend, with separation enterprises maintaining high quotes for oxides and showing limited interest in low-priced sales. Inquiry activity among traders was relatively active, supported by cost-side factors. Metal prices shifted higher, although downstream transaction activity required further observation to assess sustained demand.
