On March 26, Asian Metal reported that the average quoted price for PrNd Oxide was 440,500 yuan per ton—a decrease of 2,000 yuan from the previous working day—while the average quoted price for PrNd mischmetal dropped by 1,000 yuan to 541,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market operated weakly, with some merchants adopting a short-term bearish stance and traders increasing their low-priced sales. Oxide prices declined amid insufficient cost-side support, and downstream magnet manufacturers largely stayed on the sidelines, resulting in inadequate order volumes. Metal producers continued to struggle with selling their inventory, as actual transaction volumes remained low.
The Dy and Tb markets also continued to weaken, influenced by news from Myanmar mines. Oxide prices fluctuated downward due to weak raw material support, and metal producers’ quotes trended lower, while downstream magnet manufacturers maintained a cautious approach in their purchasing.
