On June 17, Asian Metal reported the average quoted price for PrNd Oxide at 441,500 yuan per ton, marking a decrease of 2,000 yuan from the previous day. The average price for PrNd mischmetal also fell by 2,000 yuan, settling at 541,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market remained on a downward trajectory, with oxide prices declining amid a sluggish market atmosphere. Weak cost-side support continued to weigh on the market, and metal prices followed suit. Producers struggled with slow sales and mounting inventory pressure, while downstream buyers aggressively pushed for lower pricing.
In the heavy rare earth segment, Dy and Tb prices also declined in response to softening raw material costs. Inquiry activity in the metal market remained subdued, and purchasing interest from downstream magnet manufacturers continued to be weak.
