On June 18, Asian Metal reported that the average quoted price for PrNd Oxide fell by 2,000 yuan to 439,500 yuan per ton, while the average price for PrNd mischmetal also declined by 2,000 yuan, settling at 539,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market continued to weaken, as upstream oxide prices dropped further and bearish sentiment dominated the market. Low-priced offers emerged from traders amid soft cost-side support, leading to another round of downward adjustments in metal prices. Demand remained sluggish, and metal producers faced mounting pressure due to difficulties in completing shipments.
In the heavy rare earth market, Dy and Tb prices continued to decline, underscoring the broader market weakness. Inquiry levels remained low, and downstream demand showed no significant improvement, with most transactions occurring at reduced price levels.
