On June 19, Asian Metal reported that the average quoted prices for PrNd Oxide and PrNd mischmetal held steady at 439,500 yuan per ton and 539,500 yuan per ton, respectively. Despite the unchanged average prices, the PrNd market showed signs of upward momentum, as low-priced oxide inventories tightened and cost-side support remained firm. This prompted metal prices to edge higher, with low-cost materials becoming less available. Downstream magnet manufacturers remained cautious, mostly purchasing on a just-in-time basis.
In the heavy rare earth segment, Dy and Tb markets remained broadly stable. Inquiry activity at metal producers was moderate, but buyers continued to focus on low-price offers, resulting in limited transaction volumes.
