Ceramic Ring Magnet

Ceramic magnet is a ceramic material which made by mixing and calcining relatively large proportions of iron oxide (Fe2O3) blended with a certain proportion of Barium Carbonate (BaCO3) or Strontium Carbonate (SrCO3). Ceramic ring magnet also known as ferrite ring magnet, is similar to ceramic disc magnet in outer contour, but with a straight hole inside it. Ceramic ring magnets can be measured by the outer diameter (O.D.), inner diameter (I.D.), and thickness (T). Besides frequently-used holding applications, the most representative application of ceramic ring magnet is undoubtedly the loudspeaker magnet.

Notes:

  1. For ceramic magnet, either magnetic moment or magnetic flux are more convincing in comparison with surface gauss value.
  2. Magnetic moment calculators adapt to non-coating and non-chamfer magnet.
  3. Recoil permeability μrecof ferrite magnet is between 1.05 and 1.10.
  4. The calculation results are merely for reference.

Multipole Ceramic Ring Magnets

Ceramic magnet can be divided to isotropic and anisotropic form in accordance with whether apply orientation magnetic field during the molding process. Magnetic performance of anisotropic ferrite magnet is absolutely higher than isotropic ferrite magnet. In addition to frequently axially or diametrically magnetization, anisotropic ceramic ring magnets can also realize multipole magnetization in radial direction. Orientation magnetic field for anisotropic ferrite magnet is generated by direction current (DC) power supply. Multipole ferrite ring magnet should be machined to the true circle by regular polygon after sintered.
