On August 27th, Asian Metal reported a slight increase in prices, with PrNd Oxide rising by 1,000 yuan to 402,500 yuan per ton, and PrNd mischmetal also up by 1,000 yuan to 497,500 yuan per ton. The PrNd market maintained its strong upward momentum, particularly in the oxide segment. Separation plants held firm on high prices, showing a clear reluctance to sell, making low-priced inventories scarce. Downstream metal manufacturers, facing high costs, hesitated slightly in accepting goods, choosing to stock up moderately on lower-priced futures instead. Metal prices rose in response to high raw material costs, but they faced pressure at these elevated levels. Major magnet manufacturers pushed for lower prices while continuing to stock up moderately. The Dy and Tb markets remained weak, with an increase in low-priced supplies and insufficient support from oxides, leading to a corresponding drop in metal quotes. Downstream magnet manufacturers inquired at lower prices, with minimal need for replenishment.
