Nickel Price Trend

Nickel is silvery-white lustrous metal with a slight golden tinge. Nickel belongs to the transition metal and is hard and ductile. Nickel is applied to numerous specific and recognizable applications, including stainless steel, nonferrous alloys, electroplating, alloy steel, foundries, and batteries. As one of the ferromagnetism metal, applications of Nickel in permanent magnetic material are concentrated on the earliest commercially available AlNiCo magnet. Nickel content in AlNiCo ranges from 13wt% to 28wt% which means Nickel price trend has a certain impact on the cost of AlNiCo magnet. In addition to high performance magnet like AlNiCo 8 and AlNiCo 9, most of cast AlNiCo magnets utilize recycled Nickel as raw material.
