Rare Earth Ring Magnet

Rare Earth ring magnet is Rare Earth magnet with a concentric hole through its center. Rare Earth ring magnet is generally dimensioned by the outer diameter (O.D.), inner diameter (I.D.), and thickness (T). Rare Earth ring magnets can be magnetized along the axial direction, then N pole and S pole distributed on opposite flat end surface, respectively. Rare Earth ring magnet is also can be magnetized via diametrical direction so as to the N pole is on one curved side and S pole in on opposite curved side. Countersunk ring is also offered for Rare Earth magnets.

Material Classifications of Rare Earth Ring Magnets

Rare Earth ring magnets are not referring in particular to Neodymium ring magnets. In reality, SmCo ring magnets are also belongs to this category. Samarium Cobalt magnets are weak in magnetic strength and processability, but possess better high temperature reliability and corrosion resistance in comparison with sintered Neodymium magnets.

Notes:

  1. For ring magnets, either magnetic moment or magnetic flux are more convincing in comparison with surface gauss value.
  2. Magnetic moment calculator adapts to non-coating and non-chamfer sintered Neodymium magnet and sintered Samarium Cobalt magnet.
  3. The calculation results are merely for reference.
