Weeekly Review of Rare Earth 8.1 – 8.5

The price of light rare earth experienced the rapid decline in this week and synchronously driven the weakening of medium and heavy rare earth. Although rare earth price is maintaining sharply dropping trend, it also exhibits subtle changes. The pressure on enterprises still exist and mainstream view is that the rare earth price will keep on weakening. Praseodymium Neodymium PrNd metal has no observable price fluctuation early this week owing to the less inquiries, but bargain purchase force PrNd metal price to make continuously concessions. Meanwhile, overall price of rare earth is very confusing due to the differences of channels and payment terms. Price trend of Dysprosium and Terbium is vastly different from previous years. The market has repeatedly weakened the fluctuation of Dysprosium and Terbium, but their price still hovering at a high position. Besides, there has been some reduction in the demand for Dysprosium and Terbium. Price of Dysprosium and Terbium decreased slightly this week because of market sentiment. The declining demand for middle and low-end Neodymium magnets also leads to the significantly price reduction of Holmium Iron HoFe alloy. Demand for Holmium has already been less, then its price has declined rapidly under such instances.
