Skewed Magnetized Magnet

Skewed magnetized magnet refers to the ring magnet has more than two alternating skewed magnetic poles distributed over the entire internal surface or external surface. Skewed magnetized magnet is generally applied to the permanent magnet (PM) motor applications which aim to reduce cogging torque and torque ripple of the motor.

Skewed magnetized magnets are also available in ferrite magnet and Neodymium magnet. Either radially orientation field or multipole orientation field should be applied during the molding process of anisotropic multipole magnets, then utilize specific magnetizing fixture to magnetize the required number of poles on the internal surface or external surface. Skewed magnetized magnets are commonly select magnetic field strength waveform and magnetic flux as the comparative measurement of magnetic performance.
